This internship is part of Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT), which leads the company’s product planning, engineering, and technology development efforts. Interns will work within the Project & Product Strategy Office (PPSO) — the division that drives strategic planning, technology roadmaps, and product change management for Volvo’s future lineup.
Interns will gain exposure to how Volvo manages multi-million-dollar projects, coordinates cross-functional teams, and aligns innovation with market and sustainability goals. It’s a chance to see how ideas evolve into global-scale transport solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities
As a Project & Product Strategy Intern, you’ll be immersed in the full lifecycle of Volvo’s product development process. Key responsibilities include:
• Supporting Chief Project Managers in planning and executing global vehicle programs.
• Documenting and tracking key action items from project meetings.
• Maintaining and updating essential project documents — including risk registers, lessons learned logs, and progress trackers.
• Assisting in report creation and presentation materials for executive leadership.
• Collaborating with engineering, purchasing, sales, and operations teams to ensure accurate project data.
• Performing data analytics and visualization using Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Managing SharePoint databases and other project communication tools.
• Leading a small-scale strategic project aligned with your skills and interests.

Qualifications & Eligibility

• Be authorized to work in the U.S. (Volvo does not provide visa sponsorship for this role).
• Demonstrate strong skills in communication, teamwork, and organization.
• Be familiar with data tools like Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms.
