Internship Overview

📌 Position: Building Automation Systems Project Management Intern
📍 Location: Latham, New York, USA (Albany Area Branch)
⏱ Time Commitment: Full-time (40 hours/week)

Roles & Responsibilities

This internship is not just about observation — it’s immersive, action-based, and rotational. Interns will engage with real project managers and contribute meaningfully to active construction and automation projects.

Participate in project planning, specification reviews, and documentation
Assist in building project delivery plans and schedules
Manage supply procurement and ensure timely material flow
Track labor hours and analyze project costs
Work closely with Siemens teams in HVAC, fire safety, energy systems, and more
Join sales and service teams to understand the full customer lifecycle
Gain hands-on exposure to Siemens’ Building Management Systems (BMS)
Shadow seasoned professionals to understand smart building integration

This internship is designed to simulate the experience of a full-time associate project manager while helping you explore where you may fit best at Siemens post-graduation.

Qualifications & Eligibility

This program is best suited for driven students who enjoy blending technical understanding with project coordination.

Must be a rising senior undergraduate (graduating Dec 2026 or later)
Pursuing a degree in: Construction Management, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields
Must be enrolled in a 4-year U.S.-based accredited university
Must be able to commit full-time for 10 weeks (May–August or June–August 2026)
Proficient in using laptops, project management tools, and basic hand tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
