This internship is part of SAP’s iXp a global, paid initiative focused on learning, networking, and real-world impact. As an intern, you’ll work with SAP’s Customer Security Audits team, gaining valuable experience in compliance, audit support, and stakeholder collaboration.
Roles & Responsibilities
As a iXp Intern, you’ll get hands-on exposure to how global security audits are executed and managed. Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting security audits in collaboration with SAP’s internal teams and external customer auditors

Gathering and reviewing audit documentation and evidence
-
Assisting with audit communication and tracking progress of various tasks
-
Helping identify and document potential risks or control weaknesses
-
Learning to maintain and improve policies, procedures, and compliance practices
-
Staying updated with industry compliance trends like GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and DORA
-
Tracking implementation and remediation efforts in response to audit findings
-
Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders across departments
This role is ideal for students who want to build skills in compliance, cybersecurity, and risk management in a global tech setting.
Qualifications & Eligibility
To be eligible for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Currently enrolled as a university student in a relevant program

Expected to graduate in 2026 or later (preferred but not strictly required)

Basic understanding of information security and industry regulations

Attention to detail, organized mindset, and good time management
-
Familiarity with frameworks like GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, etc., is a plus

Comfortable working in a collaborative and fast-paced team environment

Strong communication skills – both verbal and written

Willingness to learn, take initiative, and support team goals

Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
