Internship Overview

📌 Position: Business Analytics Intern

📍 Location: Mercedes-Benz Vans, LLC — Charleston, South Carolina

⏱ Time Commitment: Full-time

This is not your run-of-the-mill internship. As a Business Analytics Intern within the Productivity Development & MPS (Mercedes-Benz Production System) department, you’ll contribute to real-world analytics and process improvements that directly impact operations. You won’t just observe—you’ll build, collaborate, and help optimize how an entire production plant operates.

Roles & Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll help turn data into decisions. Responsibilities include:

Designing and building Power BI dashboards for plant leadership to drive data-backed decision-making
Supporting predictive analytics efforts using tools like Python, R, or SPSS
Mapping out key performance indicators (KPIs) to create a centralized analytics ecosystem
Collaborating cross-functionally with the IT department on system integration and analytics tools
Participating in the full project lifecycle—from brainstorming to presentation to impact measurement
Documenting findings and creating visual tools that simplify complex production data

Qualifications & Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must meet the following:

Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
Must have completed at least 3 semesters of relevant coursework
Proficiency with data tools like Python, R, SQL, or Power BI
Experience with Microsoft Azure services like Databricks or ML tools is a plus
Strong analytical thinking, with the ability to connect data insights to business needs
Must be available for a minimum of 3 months, ideally 6 months
No sponsorship provided — candidates must be authorized to work in the United States
