Roles & Responsibilities

As a Financial Forecasting Intern, you’ll work closely with experienced professionals and contribute to real, decision-impacting financial models and reports. Your responsibilities include:

Conducting financial analysis and interpreting data to support business decision-making
Assisting in the preparation of quarterly earnings reports used for external shareholder communication
Supporting internal sales and revenue forecasting processes by collecting, analyzing, and maintaining data across departments
Working with Commercial Operations, Clinical Operations, and Finance teams to validate projections and model backlog forecasts
Participating in the development of new data dashboards and visualization tools
Preparing recurring and ad hoc financial reports for internal stakeholders
Maintaining and updating databases relevant to new business and award pipelines
Presenting findings and recommendations to senior team members and managers

This role is ideal for someone who wants to develop strong business acumen, improve their Excel and data analysis skills, and gain hands-on forecasting experience in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Qualifications & Eligibility

This internship is designed for highly motivated and detail-oriented students who are ready to apply what they’ve learned in the classroom to real-world forecasting challenges.

Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
Must have strong analytical and quantitative skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts) is required
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Must be able to work on-site at Medpace’s Cincinnati campus
