Roles & Responsibilities

As a Business Intelligence (BI) Intern, you’ll join Medpace’s MABI (Medpace Analytics & Business Intelligence) team—directly contributing to meaningful projects that impact decision-making across departments. Your day-to-day work may include:

Collaborating with BI analysts and leadership to build data dashboards and visual reports
Using Power BI to design and create dashboards that are both insightful and visually compelling
Writing SQL queries to gather data from Snowflake, Medpace’s cloud data warehouse
Performing data audits and helping ensure data accuracy
Participating in process improvements through analytics projects
Gaining hands-on experience in data modelling, reporting, and user interface design
Presenting findings to internal teams and receiving ongoing feedback and mentorship

You’ll work under the guidance of experienced analysts who are ready to help you grow your technical and professional skills.

Qualifications & Eligibility

This internship is ideal for students eager to learn data-driven decision-making in a healthcare-related business environment. You’re a strong fit if you:

Are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Computer Science, or a related field (especially with a minor or coursework in Analytics or Information Systems)
Have some experience with tools like Power BI, Excel, or Power Automate
Are comfortable working with SQL and are excited to develop your data wrangling skills
Possess strong communication and teamwork skills
Are open to learning new technologies and can adapt quickly
Are legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Can work from Medpace’s Cincinnati office (flexible hours available)
