Internship Overview

• 📌 Position: Associate Clinical Account Specialist (ACAS) Intern

• 📍 Location: Multiple U.S. cities including San Francisco, Chicago, Boston, Houston, Dallas, and more

• ⏱ Time Commitment: Full-time

This 8-week ACAS Summer Internship offers students a hands-on introduction to the intersection of medical innovation and patient care. Interns will work within Biosense Webster’s Electrophysiology (EP) team, learning how clinical, scientific, and technological expertise come together to improve cardiac health outcomes.

This program provides practical exposure to 3D cardiac mapping, ablation techniques, and therapy development — all while working alongside medical professionals and engineers who shape the future of heart care.


Roles & Responsibilities

As an ACAS Intern, you’ll gain real-world experience supporting clinical and technical teams in diverse healthcare environments. Key responsibilities include:
• Supporting clinical operations and field teams in electrophysiology labs.
• Assisting with data analysis, cardiac mapping simulations, and therapy advancement projects.
• Learning about new product introduction, device education, and operational support.
• Collaborating with clinicians and researchers to optimize the use of J&J’s cutting-edge technology.
• Adhering to company safety, compliance, and ethical standards.
• Developing an understanding of electrophysiology equipment, ablation biophysics, and imaging tools.

This internship combines clinical learning with technical application, making it ideal for students interested in bridging medicine, science, and engineering.


Qualifications & Eligibility

Applicants must demonstrate academic excellence, curiosity, and a drive to innovate in healthcare.

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Health Sciences, Data Science, Physics, or related fields.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship provided).
• Demonstrated involvement in campus, research, or volunteer initiatives preferred.
