Internship Overview

• 📌 Position: Foreign Pharmacy Graduate – International Pharmacy Intern

• 📍 Location: Greenville, Mississippi, United States (On-site at 760 S Martin Luther King Hwy)

• ⏱ Time Commitment: Full-time

This internship is designed for non-U.S. accredited pharmacy graduates who have passed the FPGEE and TOEFL exams and are ready to complete their required U.S. internship hours to move closer to pharmacist licensure. You’ll be at the forefront of patient care, working under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and immersing yourself in diverse aspects of pharmacy practice, leadership, and patient care programs.

Roles & Responsibilities

During your internship at CVS Health, you will:

• Assist pharmacists in delivering high-quality patient care, focusing on safety, regulatory compliance, and customer service.
• Participate in pharmacy operations such as processing prescriptions, managing inventory, and ensuring workflow efficiency
• Engage with patients at the counter and drive-thru by answering questions, resolving concerns, and creating personalized, heartfelt moments.
• Support your pharmacy manager in motivating and developing support staff, aligning assignments with team strengths, and closing knowledge gaps.
• Lead patient care programs to improve health outcomes, build customer loyalty, and differentiate CVS Health from competitors.
• Gain exposure to practice management, leadership, and education, preparing you to complete required licensure exams.
• Adapt to a dynamic healthcare setting by collaborating with colleagues, embracing change, and finding innovative solutions.
• Ensure HIPAA and company standards are maintained for patient confidentiality at all times.
• Assist in delivering additional health services allowed by state regulations such as immunization preparation, point-of-care testing, or swab-and-send services once qualified.

This mix of responsibilities ensures you’ll develop not just technical expertise but also leadership, customer engagement, and operational management skills.

Qualifications & Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Doctorate (PharmD) or equivalent pharmacy degree from a non-U.S. accredited school of pharmacy.
• Successful completion of FPGEE and TOEFL prior to beginning the internship.
• Active Pharmacy Intern License in the state where the district is located.
• Ability to complete required U.S. Internship hours within 18 months.
• Must obtain full pharmacist licensure within 120 days of completing U.S. Internship hours.
• Strong communication, empathy, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Physical ability to lift and move up to 20 lbs. occasionally.
