Internship Overview

  • 📌 Position: Sustainability Intern

  • 📍 Location: Arlington (Virginia), Chicago (Illinois), Berkeley (Missouri), Tukwila and Renton (Washington)

  • ⏱ Time Commitment: Full-time

This internship is 100% onsite and offers direct exposure to Boeing’s sustainability initiatives. Interns will gain hands-on experience, work with experienced mentors, and engage with teams driving ESG and corporate responsibility goals.


Roles & Responsibilities

Interns in the Sustainability program will play an active role in Boeing’s enterprise-wide efforts around environmental and social responsibility. You will:

  • Collaborate with the Global Enterprise Sustainability team on strategic projects

  • Conduct ESG benchmarking and research using internal and external frameworks

  • Support stakeholder engagement efforts and assist in compliance reviews

  • Help develop high-impact executive presentations and internal reports

  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and contribute to decision-making discussions

  • Assist with regulatory alignment and risk analysis related to sustainability goals

This internship blends data analysis, communication, and policy knowledge in a practical business environment.


Qualifications & Eligibility

To be eligible for this internship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university with expected graduation in August 2026 or later

  • Be available to work full-time onsite for 10–12 weeks during Summer 2026

  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (visa sponsorship is not available)

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in sustainability, environmental science, business, or a related field

  • GPA of 3.0 or above

  • Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Prior internship or student organization involvement related to sustainability
