Internship Overview

📌 Position: Intern, Product Development
📍 Location: Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey
🗓 Duration: September 8, 2025 – December 12, 2025
⏱ Time Commitment: Full Time

This part-time internship gives you the chance to work with cutting-edge automotive technologies and collaborate directly with BMW’s engineering teams. You’ll gain real-world experience in infotainment systems, navigation tech, and future-ready features that power BMW’s vehicles.

Roles & Responsibilities

As a Product Development Intern for Navigation, your role includes a mix of hands-on technical work, team collaboration, and software testing:

Assist with in-vehicle app development for future feature concepts
Support validation engineering tasks—feature testing, bug reporting, and product requirement documentation
Join test drives and help with vehicle setup, readouts, and prototype protection
Contribute to next-generation navigation and autonomous driving feature testing
Help develop market-specific features and proof-of-concept ideas
Set up app development environments and build basic test apps
Benchmark navigation competitors and propose new design ideas

Qualifications & Eligibility

This opportunity is for motivated students with a genuine interest in automotive innovation:

Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program
Completed at least 60 college credits by application time
GPA of 3.0 or higher
Field of Study: Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or similar
Technical knowledge in any of the following is a plus: Python, Android, REST APIs, ROS, Computer Vision
Strong time-management and multitasking skills
Effective communication in English, both verbal and written
Able to work independently and maintain confidentiality
Must submit an unofficial college transcript
