This internship places you within ASML’s Integration, Quality, and Reliability Department, where you’ll gain exposure to some of the most advanced manufacturing and reliability engineering practices in the world. Rather than simply shadowing, you’ll actively participate in reliability engineering activities that support ASML’s state-of-the-art lithography systems.
Roles & Responsibilities
As a Reliability Engineer Intern at ASML, you will:

Participate in the development of portions of the lithography system and associated tooling/test equipment.

Work on sub-systems involving robotics, mechatronics, precision mechanics, and/or opto-mechanics.
-
Apply engineering specifications, performance metrics, lifetime analysis, and root cause analysis to improve product reliability.

Use statistical analysis, reliability predictions, Six Sigma techniques, and measurement system capability studies to support product improvements.

Collaborate with system architects, engineers, and suppliers in multidisciplinary project teams to develop concepts, analyze data, build/test prototypes, and integrate systems.

Remain knowledgeable and compliant with ASML’s Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) practices, proactively addressing EHS issues in your work area.

Perform other duties or special projects as assigned, demonstrating initiative and ownership.
This range of responsibilities allows you to work at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and practical engineering, helping ensure ASML products meet the highest standards of reliability for its customers.
Qualifications & Eligibility
Applicants should meet the following criteria:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline (with at least 2.5 years completed).

Strong interest in physics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or other technical backgrounds.

Ability to observe and respond to complex situations, learn quickly, and apply new information or skills.

Must be able to read and interpret data, information, and technical documents.

Demonstrated customer focus, prioritization, quality, and professionalism.

Ability to perform effectively in a demanding environment with changing workloads and deadlines.

Legal authorization to work in the United States. (ASML cannot provide visa sponsorship for this role.)
