This summer internship offers real-world engineering experience with hands-on projects in ABB’s Electrification Business segment.

Roles & Responsibilities

As an Engineering Intern at ABB, you’ll contribute to a wide range of initiatives that support operations and innovation:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist in daily operations and project execution
Support and help manage special projects including data collection, mapping, and performance monitoring
Interpret technical assembly and component drawings for engineering tasks
Participate in brainstorming sessions, team meetings, and technical reviews
Present findings, data analyses, and progress reports to mentors and team leads
Apply customer feedback and ABB solution knowledge to support project alignment with customer needs
Take initiative in seeking feedback to continually improve your work quality and engineering skills

This role reports directly to the Quality Manager and plays a key part in operational excellence and innovation delivery.

Qualifications & Eligibility

This internship is open to engineering students who meet the following criteria:

Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering
Must be authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship provided)
Must have reliable transportation to and from the Hackettstown, NJ worksite
Ability to interpret technical drawings is essential
Willingness to collaborate, take initiative, and grow in a fast-paced environment
