📌 Position: Software Engineer I
📍 Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India (Hybrid)
🗓 Duration: Full-Time
This role is part of WBD’s sports technology division, which powers large-scale digital experiences for fans of March Madness, UEFA, Eurosport, and more. As a Software Engineer I, you’ll be hands-on in building scalable, high-impact web applications used by millions across the globe.
Roles & Responsibilities
As a part of the engineering team, you’ll contribute to shaping the digital experience of WBD’s global sports audience. Your work will directly affect the user journey and performance of high-traffic platforms.
• Develop and maintain responsive, SEO-friendly web applications using React and Next.js
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and QA testers
• Integrate with REST and GraphQL APIs for dynamic content delivery
• Write unit and functional tests following TDD principles
• Participate in agile development practices like story refinement, daily standups, retrospectives
• Optimize code for performance, scalability, and accessibility across platforms
• Contribute to internal UI libraries and Storybook documentation for design consistency
• Work on theming and styling using Material UI and design tokens
Qualifications & Eligibility
WBD is seeking self-driven, collaborative engineers who love solving real-world problems through code.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience in React and TypeScript
• Proficiency with modern JavaScript (ES6+), functional components, and hooks
• Familiarity with RESTful and GraphQL API integration
• Knowledge of core web vitals, accessibility, and SEO best practices
• Bonus: Experience with Next.js, Jest, Kubernetes, ECS, Docker, or AdTech integrations
• Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration and documentation
• Must be fluent in English and authorized to work in India without visa sponsorship
