This is not a typical internship; it’s a full-time opportunity for early-career engineers looking to work on real-world, large-scale systems at Meta. The position is based in Bangalore with a hybrid work arrangement and offers significant learning and ownership from day one.

Roles & Responsibilities

At Meta, you’ll be part of a product team that works across the full technology stack—from backend infrastructure to user-facing applications. Your daily responsibilities will include:

Collaborating with cross-functional teams (product, design, infra, operations) to build scalable web and mobile applications.
Creating custom user interfaces using the latest front-end technologies and UI frameworks.
Developing reusable software components for seamless backend integration.
Writing efficient, high-performance code for large-scale systems.
Analyzing code for optimization, speed, and maintainability.
Leading mid-to-large product features and contributing to architectural decisions.
Participating in technical reviews and providing mentorship where needed.
Taking end-to-end ownership of modules, features, or systems.

Qualifications & Eligibility

To be considered, candidates should have a strong foundation in computer science and relevant hands-on coding experience. Here’s what you’ll need:

A Bachelor’s degree (completed or in final year) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar technical field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in software development (can include internships or projects).
Familiarity with software development for large-scale systems or consumer apps.
Strong debugging and performance-tuning abilities.
Optional but preferred: Experience with C/C++, Swift, Kotlin, or architectural knowledge of distributed systems.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or within teams.
Must commit to staying in the role for at least 24 months before internal transfer.
