Roles & Responsibilities
As a Network Engineer at Emerson, you will be contributing to mission-critical automation and network projects. Your responsibilities include:
• Supporting complete project delivery—from proposal stage to site acceptance
• Designing and implementing wired and wireless networks for DeltaV & IT systems
• Installing and administering Windows servers, domains, remote access, and patches
• Implementing and maintaining DeltaV distributed control systems
• Virtualizing DeltaV systems within Windows environments
• Providing first-line troubleshooting for system, hardware, and software issues
• Analyzing customer requirements and conducting OT architecture workshops
• Raising technical queries and documenting system/network security designs
• Executing Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) with clients
• Collaborating with overseas engineering teams and participating in review meetings
• Escalating risks and project issues with mitigation plans
• Supporting customers via phone, field visits, or remote diagnostics
• Contributing to internal solutions, documentation quality, and overall OT excellence

Qualifications & Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Computer Science, or related fields
• Around 5 years of hands-on experience in networking (switches, routers, firewalls)
• Knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2022, domains, remote access, patching
• Experience with backup/recovery solutions and antivirus/whitelisting tools
• Familiarity with network design, troubleshooting, and security hardening
• Exposure to cybersecurity basics (Security+, CCNA Security preferred)
• Working knowledge of virtualization (Hyper-V, HCI is a plus)
• Understanding of industrial protocols like OPC, Modbus (preferred)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with international teams
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as required
