This role is part of Barclays’ core engineering team responsible for advancing customer-facing digital systems. You will help define, build, and optimize enterprise-level financial products, ensuring seamless user experience, speed, and security. Roles and Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer at Barclays, your work will focus on developing Salesforce-based applications while also engaging with cross-functional engineering challenges. Key responsibilities include:

Develop high-quality, scalable code using Visualforce, Apex, LWC (Lightning Web Components), and other Salesforce tools.
Build and test secure API integrations using REST, SOAP, and BULK APIs.
Translate business requirements into technical design, in collaboration with analysts and product teams.
Drive performance and cost efficiency through best practices in cloud infrastructure.
Improve software testing processes, write clean code, and lead debugging across deployments.
Review code written by peers and ensure alignment with Barclays’ engineering standards.
Stay informed about Salesforce updates and incorporate platform changes into ongoing development.
Participate in Agile sprints, collaborate with global teams, and contribute to solution architecture discussions.

Qualifications & Eligibility

To apply for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Hands-on experience with Salesforce development, including Apex controllers, batch classes, Visualforce pages, and LWC.
Strong command over Salesforce integration methods and experience working with APIs.
Prior exposure to enterprise application development and software lifecycle.
Familiarity with secure coding practices and data protection principles.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and meet strict delivery timelines.
