Roles & Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer I, you’ll work closely with a team of experienced engineers and product stakeholders to build robust Java-based backend services. Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the development of secure, high-performance services that enhance Mastercard’s consumer data solutions.

Collaborating with agile teams to design, build, and deploy scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot.

Working with product managers and technical leads to implement new features and enhancements.

Participating in code reviews, proof-of-concepts, and quality checks to ensure clean, testable, and maintainable code.

Analyzing system requirements and performance metrics to optimize system functionality.

Staying current with new technologies, tools, and best practices in backend development and cloud platforms.
Qualifications & Eligibility
This opportunity is ideal for early-career professionals who meet the following criteria:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

Strong programming fundamentals with experience in Java and microservice development.

Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and relevant testing frameworks like JUnit or Cucumber.

Exposure to both relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgresDB, MongoDB, and Redis.

Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Maven, and Git.
