  • 📌 Position: Electric Power Engineering Intern

This internship is hosted at the John F. Welch Technology Center (JFWTC), GE’s prestigious R&D hub in Bengaluru. You’ll contribute to meaningful aviation engineering projects in the domain of aircraft electric power systems. From developing hybrid electric propulsion models to simulating real-world aircraft power architecture, this is an opportunity to put your technical skills into action.


Roles & Responsibilities

During this hands-on internship, your responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with simulation and analysis of electrical and electromechanical systems for aircraft power distribution

  • Supporting the design and testing of power converters used in electric propulsion systems

  • Participating in the development of embedded control systems using FPGA and microcontroller platforms

  • Contributing to high-frequency resonant converter design for aviation use cases

  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams on ongoing project deliverables

  • Documenting findings and sharing insights through internal presentations

  • Engaging in research on power electronics and AI applications within electrical design workflows


Qualifications & Eligibility

This internship is ideal for engineering students passionate about the aviation sector and electrical systems. You must:

  • Be currently pursuing a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline

  • Have basic understanding of power electronics, control systems, and circuit simulation tools (Matlab/Simulink, PLECS)

  • Possess foundational programming skills, especially in Python or microcontroller environments

  • Show exposure to PCB design and power hardware systems

  • Exhibit strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and contribute in a collaborative environment
