This role is part of Deloitte’s Technology Consulting practice, particularly within the Core Business Operations group, which works on streamlining operations, improving efficiency, and bringing innovative tech solutions to life.
Roles & Responsibilities
As an Automation Tester Analyst, you’ll play a hands-on role in analyzing requirements, creating test scripts, and ensuring software quality for high-impact projects. You’ll work in an agile environment alongside both onshore and offshore teams. Key responsibilities include:

Collaborating with business analysts and technical teams to understand functional requirements

Designing and documenting clean and maintainable test scenarios, test cases, and scripts
-
Setting up and executing automated test suites using tools like Selenium or Appium
-
Conducting defect logging, triaging, and follow-up for issue resolution
-
Performing regression testing, API testing (using Postman or REST Assured), and UI automation
-
Managing test data and preparing reports based on test results
-
Reporting test progress, risks, and blockers to the team

Contributing to overall product quality and improving testing efficiency
Qualifications & Eligibility
This is open to candidates who meet the following criteria:

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.Sc (CS) or equivalent
-
1–3 years of experience or strong academic exposure to automation testing
-
Proficient in at least one programming language used in automation (Java, Python, or JavaScript)

Familiar with test frameworks like JUnit, TestNG, or similar
-
Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (for web automation)

Knowledge of SQL and experience validating backend data

Familiarity with version control and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail)

Excellent communication and documentation skills

Willingness to learn, adapt, and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
Bonus skills that are good to have include knowledge of tools like TOSCA, UFT, and certifications like ISTQB or cloud-related credentials (AWS, Azure, GCP).
