As a Fixed Income Research Intern at CRISIL, you’ll join the MI&A (Market Intelligence & Analytics) department and work closely with professionals involved in valuations, research, and analytics related to Indian debt markets. It’s a valuable opportunity for candidates looking to develop a career in fixed income, credit analysis, or capital markets.
Roles & Responsibilities
You’ll gain hands-on experience in a wide range of market-focused research activities, including:

Assisting in the valuation of Indian debt instruments like corporate bonds, commercial paper (CP), certificates of deposit (CD), and market-linked debentures

Supporting the construction and review of yield curves across sectors, rating categories, and issuers
-
Gathering trade and pricing data from mutual funds, asset managers, exchanges, and other financial institutions for valuation purposes
-
Building a comprehensive dataset on private credit markets and supporting product development based on it
-
Creating analytical reports and presentations for senior management and external stakeholders
-
Helping in the documentation and audit trail of valuation processes

Contributing to the development and maintenance of in-house research tools and applications
Qualifications & Eligibility
The internship is ideal for fresh graduates or students with up to 2 years of experience. Here’s what CRISIL is looking for:

Graduate degree in finance, economics, commerce, or a related discipline

Strong understanding of fixed income fundamentals

Familiarity with financial statements and basic ratio analysis

Working knowledge of tools like MS Excel, Python, and/or VBA is a plus
-
Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, and presentation

Detail-oriented mindset with good analytical thinking

Prior exposure to bond markets, CPs, or CDs (even academic) is a strong advantage

Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to Mumbai for the internship
