Internship Overview

• 📌 Position: IT Software Engineer Intern

• 📍 Location: Remote — USA (PinFlex work model)

• ⏱ Time Commitment: Full-Time

This internship places you on the IT Data Platform team, working closely with backend engineers and mentors. Expect to work on real systems, tools, and features used across Pinterest. You will build, test, and deliver code that contributes to improved engineering operations and productivity.

Roles & Responsibilities

During this internship, you will:

• Take ownership of scoped engineering tasks from design to deployment
• Work with Snowflake and metadata tools to improve data documentation
• Build reliable backend components and maintain engineering standards
• Write code that is efficient, testable, and aligned with best practices
• Collaborate on projects that improve engineering efficiency
• Share ideas openly with engineers and mentors to help shape solutions

Qualifications & Eligibility

You are encouraged to apply if you have:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in CS or related field
• Graduation expected June 2027 or later
• 2–3 years of completed CS coursework
(Data Structures, Algorithms, OS, etc.)
• Experience with one or more: Python, Java, C++, CSS, Snowflake
• Curiosity and strong problem-solving mindset
• Non-academic coding projects (GitHub, hackathons, open source, etc.)
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Eligible to work in the United States (no sponsorship available now or future)
