The PTQ Quality Processes Internship is designed for motivated students eager to learn how global quality systems work in the biotechnology industry. Interns will join the Global Quality and Compliance (PTQ) department — a team that ensures every Genentech product meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory excellence.
This program focuses on process improvement, data monitoring, and operational excellence, giving interns exposure to how a Fortune 500 biotech manages compliance at scale. Roles & Responsibilities
As a PTQ Quality Processes Intern, you will:
• Support global quality projects by developing and tracking key metrics for process optimization.
• Facilitate team workshops, data reviews, and problem-solving sessions for ongoing improvement initiatives.
• Assist in building and maintaining data repositories and internal communication channels.
• Generate performance insights using both qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
• Contribute to Management Review of Quality (MRoQ) activities by helping compile and monitor essential business indicators.
• Work closely with cross-functional experts across Roche and Genentech’s Pharma Technical Operations (PTQ) network.
• Present findings and improvement ideas to senior leaders, ensuring clear communication and actionable outcomes.

Qualifications & Eligibility
To qualify for this internship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
• Currently pursuing or recently completed an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work in diverse, cross-functional teams.
• Analytical mindset — able to interpret data, generate insights, and propose actionable improvements.
• Curiosity, adaptability, and a drive for continuous learning.
• Basic understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile fundamentals is a plus.
