As part of Nike’s India Technology Center, you’ll specialize in resilience engineering to ensure the maximum availability, security, and performance of Nike’s digital experiences. This role is not just about keeping systems running; it’s about proactively designing for reliability at a scale that supports millions of customers worldwide.

Roles & Responsibilities

In this role you will:

Focus on in-depth problem analysis to identify infrastructure and code-level defects.
Establish observability processes and key performance indicators (KPIs) for critical systems.
Collaborate closely with product delivery teams to design sustainable solutions to production challenges.
Observe, diagnose, and quickly resolve production issues to minimize service interruptions.
Develop and implement real-time monitoring solutions that deliver actionable insights into system health and performance.
Communicate technical issues and their business impact clearly to ensure effective response strategies.
Manage IT service processes such as Incident, Problem, Change, and Knowledge Management to maintain service quality.
Lead initiatives to enhance application reliability for high-demand consumer web and mobile platforms.
Promote a culture of growth by coaching and mentoring peers, supporting continuous improvement and resilience across the team.

Qualifications & Eligibility

Nike is looking for talented full-stack developers with a passion for reliability engineering. Minimum qualifications include:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or 1–3 years relevant professional experience in lieu of degree).
Proven experience designing and developing applications using Java, Node.js, or similar languages.
Familiarity with front-end frameworks like React or Angular (advantageous).
Experience with modern programming languages such as Scala, Python, or Go (preferred).
Solid understanding of DNS, networking, virtualization, and Linux operating systems.
Expertise in building and managing scalable, cloud-based microservices (ideally on AWS).
Experience with Docker or serverless architectures.
Proficiency in at least one NoSQL database (e.g., DynamoDB, Cassandra).
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs.
Familiarity with service management, agile, and observability tools like ServiceNow, Jira, Jenkins, Splunk, New Relic, and SignalFX.
