This internship is part of the Graduate Researcher Program (GRP), a specially designed initiative for PhD students aiming to bridge academia and aerospace innovation.

Roles & Responsibilities

As part of the Boeing AI team, you’ll work on high-impact projects within Boeing Technology Innovation, focusing on advanced automation, machine learning, and aerospace applications.

• Collaborate with engineers and researchers to prototype intelligent systems
• Develop, test, and validate machine learning algorithms for real-world aerospace problems
• Conduct data analysis and pre-processing for model training and evaluation
• Participate in technical design reviews and Agile development sprints
• Contribute to Boeing’s larger vision by engaging in team strategy and innovation sessions
• Present progress at Boeing’s GRP Summit and weekly leadership talks

Qualifications & Eligibility

Boeing is looking for driven PhD candidates who combine academic excellence with curiosity and practical problem-solving abilities.

• Must have completed at least one year of PhD studies by July 2026
• Enrolled in a PhD program in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related fields
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, R, and software languages like C++, C, or Java
• Strong foundation in algorithm development, statistical analysis, and neural networks
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Git and JIRA
• U.S. Citizenship, National, or Permanent Resident status is required (per U.S. export laws)
• Available to work full-time onsite for the full internship duration
• Graduation date must be August 2026 or later
