Internship Overview
• 📌 Position: Engineer Intern
• 📍 Location: Multiple U.S. Plant Locations (including TX, MN, IA, OH, CA, SC, and more)

This internship goes beyond the classroom. You’ll be on the frontlines of real plant operations—leading projects, solving complex problems, and experiencing firsthand how engineering powers global food systems. Roles & Responsibilities
As a Cargill Engineering Intern, your work will be anything but theoretical. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
• Collaborate with production or maintenance teams to improve plant operations
• Lead or support capital projects, process improvements, or safety enhancements
• Apply tools like Root Cause Analysis, 5S, or FMEA to drive operational excellence
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams
• Analyze process data to optimize performance and reduce downtime
• Participate in environmental systems planning or reliability engineering initiatives
• Support day-to-day production troubleshooting and compliance efforts
• Present findings and outcomes to site leadership and technical mentors
Qualifications & Eligibility
To be considered for this highly immersive internship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an Engineering field (e.g., Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, Agricultural, or Industrial)
• Expected graduation between December 2026 – May 2028
• Must have the right to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship offered)
• Able to commit to a 12-week summer internship (May–August 2026)
• Flexible and willing to relocate to plant locations across the U.S.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated interest in leadership, technical hands-on work, or food/agri-tech industries
• A GPA of 2.7 or above is preferred, but not mandatory
Prior experience in manufacturing, production environments, or internships in a similar space is a definite plus—but what truly matters is curiosity, drive, and a willingness to learn by doing.
