Job Overview

• 📌 Position: Application Developer

• 📍 Location: Bangalore, Karnataka

This position is part of IBM Consulting’s Client Innovation Center, which serves both public and private sector clients across the globe. As an early-career Application Developer, you’ll play a vital role in creating modern, scalable, and secure applications tailored to enterprise needs.


Roles & Responsibilities

As an Application Developer, your primary focus will be building Microsoft-based applications and working with modern software architectures. Key responsibilities include:

• Developing enterprise-grade software using .NET Core, C#, and related Microsoft technologies
• Collaborating with product managers, UX designers, and other developers to understand feature requirements
• Building and consuming REST APIs with proper security and performance considerations
• Working on front-end components using Angular 15+, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Participating in code reviews and writing automated unit tests using XUnit and Jest
• Troubleshooting code and database performance issues using best practices
• Maintaining CI/CD pipelines and ensuring code quality with tools like SonarQube
• Implementing design patterns such as CQRS, Repository, and Mediator in application logic
• Contributing to a culture of innovation, learning, and continuous improvement


Qualifications & Eligibility

This role is ideal for candidates who are self-starters with a passion for enterprise software development. Here’s what IBM is looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Solid understanding of Microsoft technologies: .NET Core, C#, Entity Framework, LINQ
• Familiarity with Angular, TypeScript, and modern front-end development
• Knowledge of database optimization, particularly in MS SQL
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and code review processes
• Strong analytical and debugging skills
• A basic understanding of authentication/authorization protocols (JWT, Windows Auth, etc.)
• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies, TDD, and version control practices
