Internship Overview

📌 Position: Manufacturing Engineering Intern
📍 Location: Multiple locations across the U.S. (available in 22+ cities)
⏱ Time Commitment: Full-time

This internship is designed for students with prior GE Aerospace internship experience and aims to develop technical talent in manufacturing, assembly, and process optimization. It also serves as a strong pipeline for GE’s MEDP or OMLP leadership programs.

Roles & Responsibilities

As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you’ll gain direct exposure to cutting-edge aerospace manufacturing processes. Your responsibilities may include:

Supporting production and repair processes for engine components and assemblies
Applying Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement principles
Conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
Ensuring workplace safety in compliance with EHS standards
Assisting in cost-reduction initiatives and improving process efficiency
Collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery
Managing small projects and developing technical documentation

Qualifications & Eligibility

To apply for this internship, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Prior GE Aerospace internship experience is mandatory
Minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
Must be enrolled in a full-time, nationally accredited undergraduate or graduate program
Must have reliable transportation to the selected GE site
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; GE will not sponsor visas for this internship

Eligible Degrees Include:
Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Welding Engineering, and similar technical fields.
