Internship Overview

  • 📌 Position: R&D Project Specialist Intern

  • 📍 Location: Leominster, Massachusetts (On-site, U.S.)

  • ⏱ Time Commitment: Full-time

This internship is designed to give students practical exposure to project management in a highly technical R&D setting. You’ll be embedded within Infineon’s HiRel Project Management team and gain real-world experience working on meaningful engineering projects from start to finish.


Roles & Responsibilities

As an intern, you’ll work on live R&D initiatives and get mentored by experienced project managers. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with project managers on high-impact semiconductor research projects

  • Assisting in planning, tracking, and executing project milestones

  • Learning and applying Infineon’s internal project management tools

  • Supporting with project documentation, scheduling, and reporting

  • Contributing to cross-functional team coordination

  • Understanding the full lifecycle of product development in the semiconductor domain

This internship is more than just observational—it’s hands-on and impactful. You’ll walk away with concrete experience managing timelines, deliverables, and tech processes.


Qualifications & Eligibility

This opportunity is best suited for candidates who have both technical curiosity and organizational skills. You are eligible if you:

  • Are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Project Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field

  • Have a genuine interest in learning how R&D projects are executed in the semiconductor industry

  • Possess strong time management and teamwork capabilities

  • Are eager to understand technical tools and R&D project workflows

  • Are a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder

Previous experience or coursework in project management will be advantageous, but not strictly required.
