This offers more than just training — it’s your entry into Nokia’s cutting-edge Research & Development wing. You’ll work in the Optical Networks division, contributing to real-time product innovation and SDK development. It’s a hands-on, core engineering role that blends embedded systems, device drivers, and protocol development into one transformative experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

As a Software Development Engineer Intern, your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with ASIC and system architecture teams on next-generation SDK development
• Designing and coding SDK APIs, drivers, and algorithms in C/C++
• Defining detailed SDK test plans and supporting seamless integration with system software
• Working on Linux-based real-time operating systems
• Writing and maintaining design documentation and supporting internal R&D efforts
• Learning and applying embedded and protocol-level programming in networking systems

This role isn’t about doing menial tasks — it’s about contributing directly to the launch of new tech that will run in real-world telecom environments. You’ll be solving real problems with scalable, high-performance code.

Qualifications & Eligibility

This is ideal for recent graduates or students with a background in software and embedded systems. To apply, you should meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree (or pursuing final year) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
• 0–2 years of relevant experience in software/firmware development
• Proficient in C/C++ programming with debugging skills
• Familiarity with Linux or other RTOS environments
• Exposure to embedded systems, SDKs, and device driver development
• Bonus: knowledge of GIGE, OTN, or DSP technology is appreciated
• A strong interest in telecom, networking, and protocol development
• Excellent collaboration and documentation skills
