Internship Overview

• 📌 Position: Intern, Product Development

• 📍 Location: Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey (onsite)

• 🗓 Duration: 8 September 2025 – 12 December 2025

During this twelve‑week rotation you will join BMW’s U.S. ConnectedDrive team, which validates pre‑production software and hardware for infotainment and telematics features. Expect to code, test, and document Android‑based applications that help drivers stay connected—while learning how global OEMs launch technology safely to market.


Roles & Responsibilities

• Support feature development and UX tweaks for an internal Android app that interfaces with in‑vehicle systems.

• Execute U.S.‑specific validation for assigned components; record results in Jira, Octane, and BMW’s Brian reporting suite.

• Assist with competitor‑vehicle benchmarking: drive demo cars, assess user flows, gather team feedback, and submit new‑feature proposals.

• Maintain the lab’s test rack by flashing ECUs, coding new versions, and replacing faulty hardware.

• Collaborate with hardware, software, and QA engineers; present defect triage updates in agile ceremonies.

• Generate concise documentation—flowcharts, screenshots, and root‑cause summaries—to support future releases.


Qualifications & Eligibility

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.

• Minimum 60 credit hours completed and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.

• Proficiency in Android Studio plus one of Java, C++, or React.

• Hands‑on exposure to machine‑learning simulation tools (e.g., TensorFlow Lite) is a bonus.

• Valid U.S. driver’s license; comfortable driving test vehicles on public roads.

• Must already be authorized to work in the United States
