Internship Overview

📌 Position: Associate Consultant Intern

📍 Location: Arlington, VA / Boston, MA / Purchase, NY (Hybrid)

⏱ Time Commitment: Full-time

The Associate Consultant Intern program is part of Mastercard’s Advisors & Consulting Services (A&CS) group — a division focused on helping global clients solve high-stakes strategic problems through data, technology, and human insight. You’ll collaborate in tight-knit teams, contribute real deliverables, and get early exposure to C-level strategy and business decision-making.

Roles & Responsibilities

As an intern, you’ll be assigned to one of two tracks — Business Experimentation or Strategy & Transformation — based on your background and interests. Regardless of track, responsibilities include:

Working in small consulting teams on projects with Fortune 500 clients
Analyzing data to generate strategic recommendations for product launches, pricing, marketing, and operations
Supporting senior consultants in building business cases, client reports, and presentation decks
Participating in Mastercard’s leadership speaker series and peer networking sessions
Engaging in volunteer and team-building events to strengthen purpose and community

This is not a shadowing internship. You’ll do real work, add measurable value, and walk away with stories you’ll be proud to share in future interviews.

Qualifications & Eligibility

To be eligible, you must meet the following:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a graduation date between December 2026 and July 2027
Strong interest in business strategy, analytics, and client problem-solving
Solid foundation in data tools (Excel required; SQL, Tableau, or SAS preferred)
Proven leadership and collaboration through academic or extracurricular experience
Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
