Position: Application Engineer Fall Internship

Location: On-site at Wendell and Raleigh, North Carolina, USA

Time Commitment: Full Time
This is a fixed-term, full-time internship where you will support the Electrification and Automation division of Siemens Smart Infrastructure. This opportunity will give you hands-on engineering experience in a collaborative setting while building your skills in product development, data analysis, and technical support.
Roles & Responsibilities
As an Application Engineer Intern, you’ll be working directly with Siemens engineering teams to:

Review customer specifications and technical documentation

Collaborate with engineers to develop technical solutions across Siemens product lines

Help create budgeting tools for low-voltage motor control center components
-
Analyze historical trends and standardize equipment data
-
Support design evaluations and continuous improvements across systems
Qualifications & Eligibility
To be eligible for this opportunity, applicants must:

Be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

Be a registered student during the entire internship period

Be able to work onsite at the Wendell, NC office
-
Be legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship)

Possess strong communication and organizational skills

Be comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines

Have prior experience or exposure to tools like Power BI or Tableau

Be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
